The Gardener
Every garden needs a gardener to tend and care for it. In the wind and rain, the heat and drought, a garden carries on with the help of the gardener. Jesus refers to this in the Bible, when he says that he is the vine and his heavenly father is the gardener.

Wild Sovereign: Mary and Martha
I have been influenced by the style and composition of Early Renaissance Art (1300-1450). The sisters, Mary and Martha, feature in the Bible. Martha is dutiful while Mary is devotional. In their sisterly relationship, Mary and Martha experienced misunderstandings, tension, and rivalry. Sadly, today women have similar experiences in their friendships.

Colourful fish swirl in a watery reality, floating with seaweed, starfish and anemones at the Melbourne Aquarium. I wanted to create a sense of the movement, vibrancy and contentment these fish have.
